Merry Cranberry Margaritas

Found this recipe while blog surfing and think it’s just a perfect idea for a girls-night xmas party. Can’t wait to make these :)

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups cranberry juice cocktail, divided
1/2 cup sugar, divided $
1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) fresh or frozen cranberries, rinsed
3/4 cup fresh lime juice $
3/4 cup tequila
1/2 cup orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau
3 cups coarsely crushed ice

Preparation

Pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice into a shallow bowl. Pour 3 tbsp. sugar onto a plate. Dip rims of 4 to 6 widemouthed glasses (6 to 8 oz., suitable for margaritas) into juice, then sugar. Set glasses aside.
Reserve 12 cranberries. In a blender, whirl the remaining cranberries, cranberry juice, and sugar, the lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and ice until smooth and slushy. If necessary, blend in 2 batches, then mix together. Divide among glasses and garnish with reserved berries, skewered on toothpicks.

Now a days music is so commercialized you forget what it should be all about it. The lyrics, the instruments, and sharing a connection. Phish is all about the jams and improvisation. No two concerts are ever the same making each an experience all its own. I love the mix of rock, jazz, and blues. It’s so refreshing in the pop-infused world world we live in.

New Layout and Black Friday

The year is ending soon and I decided to start new stuff ahead of time with a new layout!! I think it brings a splash of color lacking from the old one, right? I’m still playing around with it so don’t get scared if you see something weird going on on the site ;)

In other news, I shopped Black Friday for the first time ever. From the comfort of my bed mind you. I wouldn’t be caught dead in one of those messes. Got fabulous Sam Edelman pumps from Nordstrom and accessories from Tory Burch (and free tote bag! Feels good to support fellow alumni haha). Happy Holidays everyone!
