I’ve always loved collecting pictures I run across online for personal inspiration and to share on my blog. Before this lead to a very crowded and messy picture folder on my computer. Then to a lot of work on tumblr trying to assign credit to the original sources of the shots (I always try to give credit where it is due). Thankfully, some brilliant techie mind invented Pinterest. It serves as an online pinboard complete with easy to install “pin it” button. Now whenever I find a picture I like all I have to do is “pin it” and it is automatically added to my boards fully crediting the source. A blogger’s dream come true! It’s so easy you wonder how you ever worked without it. If anyone is looking for an invite, leave a comment.

The New York Times Home & Garden section recently featured dancer-turned-physical therapist Enid Woodward’s Manhattan penthouse studio. The words ‘penthouse’ and ‘studio’ together don’t seem to make much sense, but she makes it work brilliantly. The apartment has a wrap around veranda that’s almost equal and square-footage as the actual apartment. Anyone else would have enclosed it to increase the size of the apartment but she managed to make the most out of the space without losing that amazing feature. It looks modern, cozy and happy all at the same time. For more pictures, check out the slide show at NYTimes. I’d die for such a gorgeous place!

I’ve become a lover of gorgeous interior design. It may have something to do with the fact that I grew up in a house with untouchable white walls and furniture so I feel like I missed out. I recently discovered Teo Jasmin and just had to share some of their work. Teo Jasmin is an interior design company which was founded by Angéline Bailly in 2001. They started to specialize in digital printing on wall canvas but later on expanded their range of products with cushions and classic furniture, still using the same digital process on them. I think they’re great for home as well as business deco.
Creativity is never lacking in the Teo Jasmin studios. New collections are launched twice a year and they include wall canvas, chairs, cushions, and handbags. The superheroes of DC Comics are the stars of the new collection 2010 with Coca Cola and the famous Doggy ridder. My personal favorites are the NYC and Paris collections, which continue to be very successful (see below). For more, check them out on Facebook or their website.

With the impeding move out of campus life and into the real world I’ve been faced with the problem of how to remodel my living space to make it more comfortable, more efficient and more fitting for the new me. Thankfully I ran into The Selby. A new project by Todd Selby, photographer, The Selby is a collection of creative individuals in their personal spaces and is great for inspiration. I’ve been browsing closets, mirrors, desks, and everything in between. These are a couple of ideas that I like.
I want a nice bookshelf for all my books and knickknacks, but not sure if I would go as big as the one below from Alexander Wang’s NYC office.

I also want to copy Julia Restoin-Roitfeld‘s magazine organization strategy for my plethora of volumes.
I’ve been wanting a glass desk like this one for a while but I’m not sure if keeping the glass streak free is going to drive me insane:

Love this credenza by Toyo Ito:

I also like the room set-up in Serena van der Woodsen’s room (maybe not the actual furniture) by Christina Tonkin, one of the interior designers for Gossip Girl (who also worked some of the sets in Sex in the City):
And I’ll throw in the dream closet I’ll never have:

what do you think?
