I’m currently in a literary binge. It happens on occasion. I pick up a good book and can’t put it down and when I finish it I HAVE to pick up another. Today I’d like to share some quotes from great thinkers to hopefully inspire you a bit:
Don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly. - Franz Kafka
When you’re curious, you find lots of interesting things to do. – Walt Disney
I want movement, not a calm course of existence. I want excitement and danger and the chance to sacrifice myself for love. I feel in myself a superabundance of energy which finds no outlet in our quiet life. – Tolstoy
I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited. – Sylvia Plath
I made a list of things I have
to remember and a list
of things I want to forget,
but I see they are the same list. - Linda Pastan
Alice: How long is forever?
White Rabbit: Sometimes, just one second. - Lewis Carroll
If there is no love in the world, we will make a new world, and we will give it walls, and we will furnish it with soft, red interiors, from the inside out, and give it a knocker that resonates like a diamond falling to a jeweler’s felt so that we should never hear it. Love me, because love doesn’t exist, and I have tried everything that does. – Jonathan Safran Foer
It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see. – Henry David Thoreau
Only a few people care. The rest are just curious. – Anonymous
